The Kobra 400HS-Combi is designed for high-security use for the Australian market and is popular with Australian Government Agencies, Government Departments and Australian Defense Use. It has a combi (combined) high security document shredder for shredding of "Classified" and "Top Secret" documents. and has a seperate shredder function for Optical Media Shredding of CDs, DVDs including 80 mm. mini disks, Blue-Ray Disk and Credit Cards.

The KOBRA 400HS-COMBI can shred up to 1500 optical media per hour through the special 1.5x2.5 mm cutting system, which is the highest security level today available for optical media to meet the strictest Military and Governments shredding needs. It shreds an optical media disk into over 3000 microchips exceeding the Optical Media Destruction Devices guidelines and the ASIO T-4 standards for TOP SECRET level destruction of Optical Media. The tiny size of the shreds doesn't allow to retrieve or read any information left on small optical media particles even through specific and dedicated electronic equipments.

The KOBRA 400 HS-COMBI is also equipped with a second cutting system with the 0.8x9.5 mm. cut (Level 5) providing high security shredding of "Top Secret" documents. TThe KOBRA 400 HS-COMBI has been evaluated by NSA and meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 04-02 for Optical Media Destruction Devices.

Class A paper shredders, shred sheets of paper to P-6 or P-7 security levels . Level P-6 cross-cut shreds are only ≤ 10 mm² particles with width ≤ 1 mm and Level P-7 is the most secure shredder type available, with shreds of just ≤ 5 mm² particles with width ≤ 1 mm so that a maximum of only 4 character can be seen on a single shred.

 
Class B paper shredders shred to P-5 security level. Level P-5 provides more security with cross-cut shreds that are only ≤ 30 mm² particles with width ≤ 2 mm.
