The Kobra 240 HS is a high security cross-cut SCEC Endorsed Class A shredder ideal for shredding classified documents. This cross-cut shredder is used by the US Department of States, CIA and the National Security Agency as well as the Department of Defence in Australia.

The Kobra 240 HS has a special cutting system that can shred an A4 sheet into almost 10,000 granules, each measuring 1/32" x 7/16 inches, making it impossible for electronic microscopes to decipher any information.  It shreds 8 sheets simultaneously with a maximum speed of 17 ft./min.

It features a 24-hour continuous duty motor and a heavy-duty chain drive with steel gears which results in continuous operation without overheating. An automatic start/stop function through various sensors enable the unit to start operation when it senses material on its feed opening and stop when the shredding is complete. A removable 9.5-gallon wastebasket stores shredded paper
